PROJECT EXAMPLE · FLESHERTON, ONTARIO
Machined plastic components from our shop.
Slotted and profiled plastic components from our Flesherton shop. This example shows how CNC machining can combine an outside profile with openings and fitted features in the same part.

A CLOSER LOOK
The profile is only part of the job.
The photographed components have shaped outside edges and machined slots. Features like these need to be considered together: the outside dimensions establish the part’s outline, while the position and size of an opening determine how it fits with another component.

Planning a similar plastic part
Start with the material grade, sheet thickness and a dimensioned drawing. Mark the surfaces, slots and holes that need to fit another part. If the component works in an assembly, include the mating dimensions so we can review the fit requirements before quoting.
Choose the material around the application
Our plastics machining service covers HDPE, acrylic, PETG and nylon sheet. Include the intended use and any required material grade in your enquiry. The material used in the photographed example is not specified here; we review material requirements for each new job.
From one component to repeat orders
Send the quantity for each part and identify any different versions. Our CNC routing service handles prototypes and repeat production, with profiles, pockets, slots and holes reviewed as part of the machining plan.
